North Team - Whatcom/Skagit CountySUMMARYThe Child Youth Family
Crisis Team (CYFCT) Clinician II provides crisis intervention
services to children, youth and families in crisis. Services
delivered are recovery-focused and include but are not limited to
case management, crisis invention & treatment planning, resource
identification and assistance, identification and development of
natural supports, advocacy, service monitoring and follow-up,
collaboration with natural supports and other providers, and
individual and group services. The Clinician II is responsible for
assessing client risk and partnering with the client to develop an
individually tailored care plan designed to promote recovery. The
Clinician II serve as a crisis team member and provides back up to
other team members as needed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following, other duties may be assigned.Behaves in an
ethical and professional manner consistent with agency policy,
state law, and licensing entities if applicable.Complies with all
accurate and appropriate charting, coding, and billing procedures
as required by the regulatory organizations.Documents delivery of
services in the medical record. Completes all paperwork to agency
standard and within required timelines.Provides evaluations for
clients in acute crisis in various settings throughout the
county.Stabilizes the crisis situation at the site of contact
whenever possible, utilizing a variety of intervention options,
including referrals to non-mental health/support services, referral
for assessment for outpatient services, referral for urgent
psychiatric medication evaluation, and facilitation of support in
home/community by crisis stabilization aides.Accepts primary
responsibility for the brief inventions with crisis clients as
identifiedEstablishes a treatment plan and goals with client and
evaluates progress throughout brief crisis inventions.Routinely
assesses for risk issues including danger to self or others and
develops plans with client to mitigate those risks.Provides a range
of medically necessary clinical interventions, including but not
limited to behavioral health counseling and case management
services, to adults/older adults/youth. Whenever possible,
treatment approaches employing Evidence-Based Practices will be
used.Provides group patient education including planning,
implementing, and facilitating groups for identified clients.Works
collaboratively and coordinates with psychiatric services,
emergency services, outpatient services, other treatment team
members, etc.Coordinates services with community agencies (e.g.,
DSHS, DDD, Courts, etc.) and works in context of a crisis team as
needed and appropriate.Makes appropriate referrals for auxiliary
services such as drug and alcohol services when clinically
indicated.Coordinates care with primary care and collaborating
professionals from other systems as well as natural supports as
appropriate.Participates in regularly scheduled supervision and
team meetings.Remains compliant with required trainings and
certifications.Understands and practices safekeeping of client
protected health information per Compass Healths HIPAA and other
agency policies and procedures.Demonstrates respect for diversity
and a commitment to developing multicultural competency and

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvides crisis intervention and
prevention services to child, youth and family with sever and
persistent behavioral health disorders with complex needs, diverse
diagnoses and multi-system involvement.Links individuals with
needed services including but not limited to ongoing behavioral
health care, natural supports, community and educational
resources.Provides outreach support to client(s) and crisis team
members.Assists with collection and documentation of data to meet
contract requirements.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / CERTIFICATIONS /
LICENSESMA/MS/MSW Degree in a Behavioral Science related field
requiredQualifies as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) as defined
by WAC.Child Mental Health Specialist (CMHS) preferredExperience
working with children, youth and/or families preferredDemonstrated
knowledge and experience with the Evidence-Based Practices, or
interest and ability to learn.Individuals who do not already hold a
license or associate license through the Washington State
Department of Health must submit Agency Affiliated Counselor
application upon hire and be approved by the DOH.Valid Washington
State Drivers License including vehicle and appropriate insurance.
Able to transport self to multiple community locations to deliver
services, often over the course of a single day.KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
/ ABILITIESAbility to work effectively with individuals with
complex needs, diverse backgrounds, and multi-system
involvement.Ability to maintain a positive, solution-focused
demeanor when responding to conflicts or problems.Demonstrated
organizational skills and the ability to multitask within a
fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills, written and
verbal.General computer proficiency, including the ability to
utilize electronic medical record systems.Ability to pass
pre-employment criminal background check, which may or may not
include an additional search by DSHS.PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK
ENVIRONMENTThe employee will be working primarily out of the office
and will provide outreach to community settings as needed, which
could include client homes, hospitals, medical facilities, schools,
jails, community organizations, etc. While performing the duties of
this job, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20
pounds and is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and use
close vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually
