Job Description:

  • Certification Details
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent as a Rad Tech and CT Tech; required within one year of hire.
  • Current and unrestricted Radiologic Technologist Certification through the Washington State Department of Health.
  • BLS Certification.
    • Job Details
    • The technologist is to efficiently operate diagnostic imaging equipment for the purpose of medical diagnosis and treatment.
    • This responsibility includes quality treatment to patients, producing quality radiographs, maintaining accurate records, and distributing reports to the patient's provider.
    • The technologist is responsible for communication with radiologists, physicians, patients, patient's families, performing relief and/or other project duties.
      • Job Requirements
      • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
      • At least one year of RT experience preferred.
        • Schedule Information
        • Attendance at department meetings and special meetings is required.
        • Ability to work on-call shifts as assigned.
          • Unit Specific Information
          • Responsible for the expedient care and compassionate treatment of patients.
          • Position patients accurately using accessory devices as needed with instructions on breathing control.
          • Operate X-Ray and CT equipment following health and safety regulations and departmental procedures.
          • Perform clerical procedures including patient reception, charging, documentation, statistics, report posting, and exam sign out.
          • Occasional patient scheduling for Mammography, X-Ray, CT, MRI and ultrasound.
          • Utilize sound sterile technique to prevent contamination and/or cross-contamination.
          • Participate in the department's Quality Assurance program and perform assigned Quality Control tasks.
          • Maintain patient confidentiality.
          • Maintain proficiency through continuing education and in-service programs.
          • Maintain cleanliness of the exam rooms as defined in the policy for infection control.
          • Learn and enter patient information into the RIS.
