Sr. Node.js Developer Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Node.JS Developer with experience developing and building hard-working, scalable, enterprise applications. • Server-Side Application Development: Develop back-end components and logic using Node.js, ensuring that server-side processes are efficient, reusable, and maintainable. Utilize Node.js frameworks, such as Express.js, to streamline development and manage HTTP requests and routing.
• API Design and Integration: Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL endpoints for front-end communication. Ensure that APIs are scalable, secure, and well-documented for seamless integration with other systems.
• Database Management: Integrate with databases (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL) to manage data storage and retrieval. Write optimized queries, create database schemas, and handle data migrations.
• Optimization and Performance Tuning: Optimize applications for speed and scalability, handling server load, caching, and minimizing latency. Use asynchronous programming techniques to ensure high concurrency and responsiveness.
• Security Practices: Implement security measures to safeguard data and application integrity. Manage user authentication, authorization, and data encryption to protect against common vulnerabilities.
• Testing and Debugging: Perform unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure code quality and reliability. Debug and resolve application issues to maintain stability and minimize downtime.
• Collaborating with Front-End Teams: Work closely with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side. Qualifications
• Developer with 6 to 10 years of experience that possess a strong background in NodeJS.
• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Exhibit strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Show experience in designing and implementing scalable architecture solutions.
• Display knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies. Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $68,422 to 114,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
