TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PICU RN in Seattle, Washington, 98122 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Active Compact License or Washington license (Provide status if in process with applied date and ETA) Certifications: Not specified Must-Have: - All previous permanent employees of affiliated facilities must have a minimum separation of 3 months to qualify for this travel position. - Strong experience candidates with a pending Washington license will be considered. - References covering 1 full year of employment within the last 3 years are mandatory. Job Description: - Pediatric critical care and general critical care experience are required. - Ability to manage ENT, general surgery, ortho, and post-op/pre-op procedures. - Proficient in breathing treatments, chest tube setup/care, CPAP/BiPap, high frequency ventilators, and oscillators. - Experience with procedure sedation and rapid sequence intubation drugs. - Expertise in trach care and vent management. - Capable of administering blood/blood products, obtaining 12 lead EKGs, and managing CVPs. - Familiarity with drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, PICC/central lines, port-a-cath/vascular device access/care, syringe pumps, and traction/halo/pin care. - Experience in handling triple lumen catheters and wound vacs. - Willingness to float to NICU or relevant units within skill set. - Flexibility for floating to other units or campuses within a 40-mile radius, with transportation responsibility on the traveler. - Modules to be completed pre-start and annually as non-billable hours, with an average of 16 hours spent. - Orientation involves 40 non-billable hours. - Manager may accommodate reasonable requests for time off and there is a high probability of assignment extension. 26068875EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing Constantly adapting to new environments and healthcare facilities challenges you to expand your knowledge and skills.
