Job Description:

Propel (an Alera Group company) is looking for a Senior Account Manager with experience to join their Property and Casualty team. For this role, we are looking for someone with large Construction experience. - -The Senior Account Manager's primary role is to ensure customer satisfaction and client retention by delivering timely, consistent, and quality service for a large/complex book of business. Average book size $750,000-$1,000,000 revenue.
Team Functions:Each Team will function as a unit, with the leading level team member of Client Executive, Senior Account Executive, Account Executive, or Senior Account Manager coordinating the following. There may be distribution of these functions within a team to utilize each other's strongest soft skills, enhancing overall team effectiveness.

  • Fosters leadership and mentorship of team members.
  • Leads staff in maintaining client relationships, motivating performance to ensure client deliverables are consistent with service standards and proper procedures.
  • Facilitates a collaborative team environment.
  • Participates in staff hiring and separation decisions and advances the training of new team members.
  • Approves time-off requests and timesheets for staff, as applicable.
  • Approves expense reports within expense authority levelJob Functions:Serve as primary client service contact for multiple accounts. Primary account management responsibilities include:
    • Pre-Renewals/Renewals: Meeting with Producers, establishing renewal expectations with the client. Complete Renewal Acord Applications in Sagitta. Submitting complete and thorough submissions to carrier(s).
    • Review and analyze quotations received from carriers.
    • Prepare professional and accurate proposals for presentation to clients, including premium/rate/exposure comparisons and premium allocations.
    • Prepare loss analysis, loss ratio and loss trending studies.
    • Prepare professional and accurate summaries for existing clients.
    • Review endorsements for accuracy.
    • Process premium audits and assist client in event of a dispute.
    • Prepare certificates of insurance
    • Perform contract review with respect to insurance requirements.
    • Help resolve complex COI compliance issues. Order endorsements as needed for compliance and/or securing additional lines of coverage.
    • Prepare and deliver timely binders and invoices upon binding of coverage.
    • Secure premium financing when needed.
    • Review newly issued policies for accuracy before delivery to clients
    • Use company systems and procedures to maintain and prioritize workload.
    • Lead monthly renewal meetings with producer and other Account Managers on the team.
    • Maintain certifications and complete assigned training goals.
    • Maintain current knowledge of underwriting requirements and authority outlined by each carrier.
    • Coaching and mentorship of others
    • Lead/perform special projects with the advice guidance from leading level team member.
    • Identify and convert on account rounding and cross-sell opportunities. -
